
The South Putnam Pep Band was in action Friday night at our home basketball games. Thank you Mr. Champion and all of his student musicians.




Our swimmers and divers had a GREAT county meet. Every single athlete competed mightily and contributed to both teams winning county titles. Our girls, led by senior captain Stevie Keenan, are now BACK to BACK to BACK county champions. Our boys, led by senior captain Wyatt Kendall, are BACK to BACK champs, and they've won FOUR of the last FIVE Putnam County championships.

The girls' final score was South Putnam 281.5, North Putnam 128.5, Greencastle 103.
The boys' final score was South Putnam 266, North Putnam 175, Greencastle 153.
We're really proud of the way our athletes competed for every single place today. We won a lot of events, and our second and third swimmers in each event showcased our teams' depth, bringing home the important points that led to the teams' wins.

We welcome Kenny Wells as the new South Putnam High School Softball Coach. Kenny is a South Putnam graduate. He has been coaching in our girls basketball program for six years. Kenny has been coaching softball in our community for a long time. He is known, trusted and valued by our athletes and families. We look forward to the great things Coach Wells will do in leading this program.


Congratulations to Madison Gardner, Danae Cline, Noah Couch and Audrey Richardson. They were selected by the Indiana Association of School Principals as Rising Stars of Indiana. Students are selected from the junior class for their outstanding academic achievement.


We had some business leaders volunteer their time and expertise today and it was just incredible. Thank you to Howard Thomas of JK Associates, Steve Custis of Remax Cornerstone, Steve Moses of SI Commercial Services, Michael Clampitt of North Salem State Bank, and Karen Heavin of Heavin College and Career Readiness Services. Today AP World History students participated in an Enlightenment Smackdown during which they discussed important topics while portraying specific Enlightenment thinkers.






Congratulations to Abby Harton on being named the high school student of the month for November. She was nominated by Mrs. Carranza. Abby is a thoughtful dedicated student that always brings a positive attitude to class.


The South Putnam Wrestling Team triumphed tonight over Brebeuf Jesuit with multiple pins.











A special thank you to Tony Kebede, our athletic trainer from Hendricks Regional Health! Tony takes very good care of our student athletes. This past weekend a family from an opposing team wrote a thank you note to the school thanking Tony for the care he gave their child too. We know Tony does exceptional work. It is wonderful to see that acknowledged! We are so fortunate to have him!

The South Putnam Music Department presented their Holiday Concert last night featuring Beginning Band, 7th Grade Band, 8th Grade Band, and Concert Band. Mr. Champion and his students created a beautiful experience for guests!










South Putnam wins! Our boys and girls swimming and diving teams beat Edgewood and West Vigo! It was a decisive win for the boys team and an exciting end-of-the-meet victory for the girls who triumphed in the last relay pulling ahead of Edgewood!











Our Social Studies teachers challenge our students each day to use past events to think critically about their future. Thank you to Mr. Laney, Mrs. Coke, Mr. Hudson, Mrs. Henry, and Mr. Welti for all they do for our students.




Some cool things are happening at South Putnam today. We thanked our teachers for all their hard work with ice cream. Students also were working hard on some interesting projects.

Congratulations to Caroline Hodge for her selections as the DAR Good Citizen for Putnam County. Caroline was acknowledged for her scholastic achievements, honesty, loyalty, leadership, service and civic pride. She shared the important moment with her parents Michael and Natalie Hodge. The Putnam County middle school winners, Bryan Bye, Jeffrey Crabb and Ava Webster were also acknowledged today. Congratulations to all of these students. We are proud you are Eagles! We are grateful for the many ways you contribute to our school and our community and the way you serve as role models to your classmates.
