I was proud to represent South Putnam this week as a micro-session speaker at the Indiana Early College Summit: Closing the Gap. I spoke about how South Putnam, a CELL endorsed Early College High School, offers three rigorous tiers of instruction and provides students with opportunities in dual credit, dual enrollment, the Indiana College Core and even a General Associate's degree.

Congratulations to Counselor Brian Gardner who was one of five educators acknowledge at the State House today for his work advocating for and supporting students in the Proteus National Farmworker Jobs Program. The most recent beneficiary at South Putnam is Brent Cunningham

A special thank you goes to Mr. Rounds and Mrs. Coke for thoughtfully organizing and leading such a meaningful celebration. During the event, students were recognized for their outstanding efforts and also had the opportunity to honor the teachers who played a vital role in helping them reach their goals

What a special night! Mr. Champion, his musicians and their many supporters served a spaghetti dinner with homemade desserts and put on an entertaining musical event. Fittingly in one song concert goers and the musicians replicated the sound of a storm. Throughout the evening, students showcased their talent and entertained the crowd. Great job to the students, Mr. Champion and everyone who made the night possible!

Is that Guy Fieri? No - It’s Ms. Helen Eaglin with her classes as they present their food trucks!

Thank you to the PIE coalition's support. Their work enabled a HIPS (Hidden in Plain Site) trailer to be available at the county baseball and softball game. Parents and families learned about the dangers of vapes and the drugs and chemicals within them. They also discovered how vapes and drugs can be hidden and masked with items that look like everyday items. Thank you to all of our community members who toured the trailer. Thank you also to Renee Marsteller and Linda Merkel for presenting the South Putnam athletic department with $500 for having the most people go through the trailer at county baseball and softball. Danae Cline accepted the check as a South Putnam PIE representative.
