As part of Teacher Appreciation this fall, teacher Kate Hudson won some tickets to a Purdue football game. She took fellow teacher Emily Coke along in an attempt to convert her to a Purdue fan. Helen Eaglin and Cameron Frazier even helped. I think they succeeded.

Friday night our South Putnam Cheerleaders crowned the Penny King Kolby Harcourt and raised over $500 for Breast Cancer Awareness 🩷. Thank you to them and our entire South Putnam community for supporting this cause.

Senior Night at South Putnam! A night of celebration and a win against Heritage Christian!

Phil Williams (Willy) has been running the scoreboard at South Putnam football games for 50 years. We can't thank him enough for his dedication, loyalty and pride at being a South Putnam Eagle! He is reliably there at every home game. He has even chosen South Putnam games over Dodger playoffs. The press box also just wouldn't be the same place without his humor. He is the anchor. As Tom Standers said, "We hope you give us 50 more years!"

Volleyball Senior Night was a success on Thursday. The Eagles defeated Brown County in three sets. It was a fantastic night for Olivia, Peyton and Joscelyn!

Students are making papier-mâché letters in Mrs. Carranza's class.

South Putnam organized a pink game last night in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Thank you to everyone who decorated and donated bake goods and money for this worthy cause.

This morning Mr. Frazier received the S.A.L.S Grant to pay for three drones for his Ag Power, Structure and Technology course. The drones will help support work related to Core Standard 10 through which students "apply concepts of emerging technologies." S.A.L.S. is supported by a "small group of community members interested in enhancing the learning environment for South Putnam students" in areas of science, agriculture and life skills. Thank you for their generosity and support of South Putnam students and teachers.

Congratulations to Danae Cline for her 1,000 career digs! She was able to celebrate with her coaches, teammates, family and friends last night during a home game against Cascade. It is quite a career accomplishment and Danae is just in her junior year. Well done, Danae!

Middle school volleyball teams played hard-fought games against North Putnam during County this weekend!

It is amazing that Homecoming ended only a few days ago! It went so fast!

Nurse Snider has been a great addition to the South Putnam team this year. She has been working very hard to keep our students healthy.

Congratulations to Senior Homecoming King Aiden Beadles and Queen Chloe Heet and all the Homecoming candidates and winners! It was a special end to an amazing week!

Good afternoon! This is just a friendly reminder that on Monday, September 25th, students will not be in the school buildings but completing E-Learning assignments from home. Meanwhile, teachers will be actively participating in professional development activities and checking on student progress throughout the day.
We hope to see you at the homecoming football game tonight!
Stay safe, Eagles!

Several South Putnam students and staff members are wrapping up a very large project to improve our Natural Trail, a beautiful and unique portion of our cross country course. Senior Les Brown completed an Eagle Scout project by planning and coordinating the replacement of the stairs. The hours of research and hard work by his team has resulted in well-crafted, secure steps that have been built to last many years. Our horticulture class helped our SOAR class wrap up a multi-week project to widen and line the path through the woods. With support from funds through the athletic department, the newly improved course has a smoother, broader surface designed to drain away excess water. Thank you to everyone for their creative ideas, collaboration, physical labor and commitment to restoring this important South Putnam tradition.
