As we prepare for a potential snow and ice event forecasted to impact our area late Sunday into Monday, we want to ensure you are informed and prepared. Our priority is the safety of our students, staff, and families, and we’ve been monitoring this weather system closely since the beginning of the week.
Here is our plan:
1. Road Assessments:
• We will evaluate road conditions throughout the district on Sunday evening and again early Monday morning to make the best decision for everyone’s safety.
2. Schedule Adjustments:
• If school is canceled on Monday, January 6th, we will utilize our first built-in make-up day on Monday, January 20th.
• If weather continues to affect school beyond Monday, starting Tuesday, January 7th, we will transition to synchronous e-learning.
3. Device Pick-Up:
• To prepare for potential e-learning, we encourage families to pick up student devices at school today.
As of now, this plan is contingent upon the actual weather conditions as the storm develops. We will communicate updated information on Sunday evening and/or Monday morning once we have real-time data on road conditions.
