
Good luck to Elizabeth Dobson who will be competing in the State bowling competition this Sunday in Anderson. Elizabeth will be representing South Putnam in the State tournament organized by the Indiana Bowling Centers Association. She is one of the top 20 bowlers in the state. Congratulations, Elizabeth!

Congratulations to South Putnam teachers and students. South Putnam earned AP School Honor roll status for 2023. "The AP School Honor Roll recognizes schools that have done outstanding work to welcome more students into AP courses and support them on the path to college success. Research shows that students who take AP courses and exams are more likely to attend college and graduate on time." South Putnam


This past weekend we had seventeen middle and high school students compete at the ISSMA (Indiana State School Music Association) district solo and ensemble contest in Avon. Twelve soloists and three ensembles performed in total receiving one bronze, one silver, and thirteen gold ratings. Attached is a photo of the students who participated.


Our girls performed well today in Sectionals. Kallie Pastore broke a school record in 100 breaststroke. The 200 medley relay placed second. There were many impressive swims throughout the day!











Our South Putnam Ethics Team is in the top 8 and headed to the finals. Good luck Lilly Emmerich, Noah Couch, Ethan Rooksberry, Ariel Dooley and Neveah Ellis!


Mr. Standers's class got to visit the Indianapolis Colts Flight Department. Students toured the plane and facility and each one got a signed football!Thank you to everyone who made this amazing opportunity possible!

Congratulations to Keaton Chew for representing South Putnam well in the recent Rotary speech competition. Keaton encouraged others to "actively look for moments to inspire hope in the world." He spoke of the purposeful actions people can take to inspire and encourage others. He also talked about the determination it takes to overcome obstacles, habits and mindsets in choosing to make a difference.




We welcome Emily York to South Putnam High School as a special education teacher. Emily graduated from Purdue University and has experience in ABA therapy. Emily, we are excited to have you join our South Putnam family!


Congratulations to the South Putnam Wrestling team for their performances at Sectionals Saturday! They placed 6th overall and best placement of county schools. Noah Redman, Aiden Beadles and Keenan Mowery-Shields advance to Regionals.






What do you do on the last cold Friday in January? Dream of summer days and warm baseball weather, of course! The staff had a fun lunch of hotdogs and ice cream. Thank you Mrs. Custis!







Congratulations to the middle school drama students for their performance of the play Cafe Murder. They worked for weeks to make an impressive dessert theater experience possible. They did excellent work!
