In honor of Veterans Day, several 8th-grade students created informative displays highlighting the history and importance of Veterans Day and the branches of the armed services. Middle and high school students had the opportunity to visit the exhibits during WIN time to learn more and reflect on the contributions of our nation's veterans.

What an incredible win for our football team Friday night — Sectional Champions! We’ll be hosting Regionals this Friday night! Students and staff let’s keep the excitement going all week long with some fun spirit days:
Wednesday: Jersey Day / Sports Day – Wear your favorite team gear!
Thursday: Dress Like Coach Sorrell Day! That’s right — shorts in November.
Friday: School Spirit Day – Let’s fill the halls with red, white and blue!
Let’s make this week one to remember and show our team how proud we are. Go Eagles!

Congratulations to Senior Lilah Holderfield who signed to play softball next year for IU Columbus!

Congratulations to Directors Mrs. Houser and Mrs. Nicklasch with Student Director Senior Kaela Estes for leading the fall play, The Man Who Came to Dinner. Fellow seniors Molly Trammell, Logan Johnson and Jaydyn Gilson tried to keep the rude, demanding and not-so-injured Mr. Whiteside, played by Jeffrey Crabb pacified. There were lots of surprises included a brief solo on the piano by Robert Emmerich. It the end it seemed to work out for everyone ... except for Mr. Whiteside.

Come out to the SPHS Cafe to see the fall comedy play The Man Who Came to Dinner on Saturday at 7:00 p.m. or Sunday at 2:30 p.m.

Students experimented by doing a taste test in Ms. Eaglin's class. Is it whole milk or 2%; chocolate or a special cookie dough version? Students were surprised to learn that what we see we can't always taste.
