Our 8th Grade Advanced English students with Mrs. Houser are wrapping up the semester by performing Pyramus and Thisbe. It is a story of lovers kept apart and a tragic misunderstanding. It is a play within A Midsummer Night's Dream. Students have gained a deeper understanding of drama by participating in it. They are finishing up their practices.

Our girls, led by senior captain Stevie Keenan, are now BACK to BACK to BACK county champions. Our boys, led by senior captain Wyatt Kendall, are BACK to BACK champs, and they've won FOUR of the last FIVE Putnam County championships. The #wetbirds had a flock of individual county champions on the day. They were: Girls 200 Medley Relay - Elise Kendall, Bella Fanning, Kallie Pastore, and Megan Bumgardner Boys 200 Medley Relay - Wyatt Kendall, Brent Cunningham, Jonah Taylor, and Keaton Chew Girls 200 Yard Freestyle - Elise Kendall Boys 200 Yard Freestyle - Logan Johnson Boys 200 Yard IM - Jonah Taylor Girls 50 Yard Freestyle - Kallie Pastore Boys 50 Yard Freestyle - Keaton Chew Girls 100 Yard Butterfly - Megan Bumgardner Boys 100 Yard Butterfly - Jonah Taylor Boys 100 Yard Freestyle - Keaton Chew Boys 500 Yard Freestyle - Wyatt Kendall Girls 100 Yard Backstroke - Megan Bumgardner Boys 100 Yard Backstroke - Wyatt Kendall Girls 100 Yard Breaststroke - Kallie Pastore (setting a NEW meet record) Boys 100 Yard Breaststroke - Brent Cunningham Girls 400 Yard Free Relay - Elise Kendall, Josey Helton, Megan Bumgardner, and Kallie Pastore Boys 400 Yard Free Relay - Keaton Chew, Luke Hutcheson, Logan Johnson, and Wyatt Kendall The girls' final score was South Putnam 281.5, North Putnam 128.5, Greencastle 103. A special thank you to Tony Kebede, our athletic trainer from Hendricks Regional Health! Tony takes very good care of our student athletes. This past weekend a family from an opposing team wrote a thank you note to the school thanking Tony for the care he gave their child too. We know Tony does exceptional work. It is wonderful to see that acknowledged! We are so fortunate to have him!
