Welcome to South Putnam Community School Corporation

South Putnam Community School corporation is located in south-central Putnam County.  The corporation covers an area of 163 square miles and is crossed by Interstate 70 and U.S. Highway 40 to the east and west, and U.S. Highway 231 to the north and south. South Putnam has approximately 1,150 students in Pre-Kindergarten through 12th grade among three buildings including South Putnam Middle School/ High School, Central Elementary and Fillmore Elementary.  South Putnam is committed to equipping students for professional and personal success by guiding students to excellence according the Indiana State Standards and the five C's: communication, collaboration, creativity, critical thinking and character.

South Putnam High School will be offering virtual summer school via Indiana Online Academy. The entirety of this summer school program will take place online. Summer school will begin on Monday, June 8th and will continue through July 19th. Registration will be open May 21st - June 11th.

The Indiana Department of Labor has temporarily suspended the requirement for employers to have on file work permits for 16 and 17 year-olds effective beginning Monday, March 16. Information is posted at https://www.in.gov/dol/.
