South Putnam Student Council would like to invite you to participate in the fall Blood Drive on Tues, October 27 2:30-6:30 p.m..  Due to our pandemic, the Blood Drive will be located at Putnamville Baptist Church.  Your donation will provide scholarship funds to South Putnam students.  The COVID-19 Antibody Test will be performed on all blood donations as part of the standard testing. Beginning Wednesday October 21st the middle school student council will be selling bracelets and lollipops at lunch time.  All proceeds will be donated to our local hospital to further research and help those with Breast Cancer.  Each item is only $1 so bring your spare change and help support a wonderful cause.

PICTURE RETAKES - Oct. 26th, 10 am - 1 pm for anyone who has not had a photo taken or wants a retake done. Students who wish to have a retake bring your picture package back and give it to the photographer on picture day. They will print the same package as you ordered originally, so no charge. Students who were absent on original picture day or new students will be the only ones who need a picture form.  Forms are in the office.

Seniors, if you want to select which pose you want featured in the yearbook, you must fill out the form you received and return it to the office before October 9th. If you do not fill out the form then the first pose will automatically be used.


Middle school spell bowl practice will resume this Wednesday morning at 7:40 am in Mrs. Wells room.

Middle School Student Council will have a meeting this Friday, October 23rd at 7:30 am in Mrs. Wells classroom.

Tryouts for 7th/8th grade boys basketball will be at Central on October 19th/20th following fall break.  8th grade will be at 3:45 followed by 7th grade at 6:00. You must have a physical on file.


Vincennes University will be hosting a virtual college visit tomorrow, Tuesday, October 20th during homeroom in Conference Room A. If you are a junior or senior and are interested in attending, please see Mrs. Wallace.

Indiana University (Bloomington) will be hosting a virtual college visit Thursday, October 22nd during homeroom in Conference Room A.  If you are a junior or senior and are interested in attending, please see Mrs. Wallace.

There will be a call out meeting for any high school boys interested in swimming or diving on Wednesday at 8am in the Learning Center.

Ethics Bowl callout is virtual this year! Our competition will feature teams from around Indiana, just like always, but will be held digitally. This is a great way to improve your communication and argumentation skills and some universities do give scholarships just for ethics bowl team members!

SP Travel is excited to announce a new travel opportunity for Spring Break 2022.  Any student who will be in 9th-12th grade next school year is eligible to sign up for a nine day tour to Costa Rica!  If you have questions, please see Mr. Rhodes
