Middle School-
*Tues. April 24th  at 7:45 am there will be a Middle School Student Council meeting in Mrs. Custis’ room.

*Rose-Hulman is offering Summer Programming Camps for Grades 6th & 7th. 
June 4th-9th –Game Design. June 11th-16th –Micro-Bit. June 18th- 23rd – Spark Fun Inventor’s Kit. $150 per session. For more information please see front office.

* Any 7th or 8th grade boy or girl interested in attending a session of the Indiana Sheriffs’ Association Youth Leadership Camp, should stop by the student center for an application. The camp will be held June 26th – 29th in Pine Village, IN. There is a $25 sponsorship fee.  

  
High School-
*Friday, April 20th 10:30-1:00 Senior’s announcement, cap and gown delivery.

*Juniors and Seniors- Please check your emails and vote for your 2018 Prom Court using the Google Form shared with you. Only those attending prom will be eligible to be elected to the court. You have until 11:59 pm THIS SUNDAY to vote. Winners will be announced on Monday morning. Thank you!

*You have 11 days left to order your HS yearbook! Cost is $55. Forms are in the office.

*Students interested in Coach’s Driver Education at South Putnam High School,  information forms are now in front office for pick up. 

*Any junior wishing to receive a Congressional nomination as a senior from Representative Rokita, should stop by the student center for an application. Applications are due by September 14th , 2018.

*Any senior interested in attending a Community Career Fair on Thursday May 10th in Indianapolis from 2:00- 5:00 PM, should stop by the student center for more information.

*A DePauw University admissions representative will be here on April 24th during second period. Any students interested in attending, should stop by the Student Center for a permission slip.

*Seniors: Please check your email and return your favorite quote for the yearbook to Mrs. Cooper before May 1st.

*The Putnam County Playhouse is offering Youth Theatre Workshops this summer. For more information, visit the website posted in the announcements in your email.

* The West Central Indiana Chapter of Quail Forever will award a scholarship in the amount of $1000. All Putnam County graduating high school seniors are welcome to apply. Applications must be postmarked by Friday April 20th, 2018 to be considered. Out of the four high schools in Putnam County, one graduating senior will be chosen. 

All Students-
*Attention Special Olympics fans: South Putnam is hosting a track meet for the Putnam County Special Olympics team this Sunday at 2 pm. This event is super-fun and the weather is supposed to be great! If you would like to volunteer to help with the meet, please see Maddie McHugh, Rachel Jones, or Mr. Griswold for more information.

*This Friday, April 20th, the South Putnam Music Department presents the annual Spring Concert at 7 pm. Come out to hear some great music as well as art displays provided by the South Putnam Art Department and a bake sale following the concert. Hope to see you there!

*The April Student Center give-away is sponsored by the U.S. Army. The United States Army has many career paths and options. You can choose to enter the Army as an enlisted Soldier or as an Officer. *This month’s prize pack includes a U.S. Army backpack, blender bottle, water bottle, cold cup, t-shirt, lanyard, stocking cap, and much more. To win, stop by the table set up outside of the student center and place your name in the give-away box. The winner will be drawn on Friday April 27th. 

* Tutoring will be available after school on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3:30-4:30 in the Learning Center on days school is in session for any 6th-12th grader.
